Thinking About Growing

TrustGrowing your business can be a daunting task. The path to success is certainly circuitous one. Many I speak with believe the old way of doing business is still the best while others consider the term “new media”. The reality is the age-old axiom is true. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Lets put forth one simple concept for your growing your business. Lets say you want to speak to more potential clients on a daily basis. Could new media help, of course but you need to come back down to terra-firma. You need a good solid plan, with a good marketing campaign along with loads of follow through. Any of this sounds familiar? Yep, it’s the same thing you have been doing for years, hopefully.

Will the Internet help, will Google help, what about Facebook, Twitter and other media outlets? It does sound complicated.

Ask yourself; what does Google want? Simple; Google would like you to get to the person, company or item you are trying to find? Isn’t that what you would like your customers to do? Your interests are aligned with Google.

What about Facebook? Facebook wants you to interact with people in their ecosystem. What do you want to do with your clients, hmm, interacting with them seems like a good idea. Your interests are aligned with Facebook.

We can continue with just about any form a digital, social, or mobile application and we will inevitably come down to the same conclusion.

You do need to go digital but you just need to keep your basic principles in place. The fact is not much has really changed.
