Advance Your Brand
What is “branding”?
Branding is what you do to make consumers understand who you are and what you can do for them.
It’s your first and maybe only chance to make a lasting impression (a positive one) so potential clients want to learn more.
Let’s use the world of TV to look at example of good and bad branding.
Good: American Idol and The Voice
Bad: X-Factor
American Idol is a powerful brand. Who doesn’t want to be an American idol? The Voice is also a simple but powerful brand.
X-Factor, on the other, hand simply makes you raise your eyebrow and wonder what it is (that’s the death nail when it comes to branding).
How do you create a brand that gets you what you want (instant recognition of quality and that you can help your target audience)?
You need to have a brand that is:
-Relevant (to your target market)
-Compelling
-Differentiates (You need to have a brand that differentiates)
-Believable
-Clearly articulated
Think about your current company name, logo, and theme. Is it communicating what you want to your target audience?
In the insurance and financial services field, it’s very difficult to differentiate yourself these days.
Using Brad Smith’s Insurance Services or Brad Smith’s Financial Services is NOT good branding.
We specialize in helping advisors come up with a powerful brand that will allow them to maximize their marketing efforts.
We also specialize in helping advisors re-brand themselves (tweak what you have to make it more powerful).
